Mrs. Marjorie Herod Fuller, age 91, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, in Johns Creek, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Albert W. Fuller. Marjorie was born September 11, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia to Velma Harris Herod and Dewey L Herod. The third of 7 children, she lived her early years on a farm outside Adairsville, Georgia. During her teen years the family returned to Atlanta where she graduated from OíKeefe High School in 1948. She married Albert (a fellow OíKeefe High School Graduate) in 1950 and during their early years of marriage while Albert was in the Marines, they moved around the country, including San Diego and Jacksonville. They also lived in Macon and Atlanta before retiring to Jasper, Georgia. She was part of a very large family which was always very important to her: siblings, children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Many of her memorable travels were centered on visiting relatives in places such as Tampa, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Montreal. She always enjoyed these road trips and when many of her sisters became widowed, they would hit the road together and go off exploring the southeastern states. A 20-year resident of Jasper, GA, she enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her neighbors on their horse ranch across the road, as well as entertaining her grandchildren on the screened porch, listening to sounds of nature. Genealogy was her special passion. She not only researched her own family line but her late husbandís as well. She also aided many friends, helping them get started documenting their family trees. She is survived by her children Stephen Gerald Fuller (Joy), Jane Fuller Smith (Hudson), and Elizabeth Fuller-Nicoll (Gregory); grandchildren Neil Fuller, Brett Fuller (Casey), Vance Fuller (Amanda), Taylor Smith (Amber), Spencer Smith (Lindsay), Courtney Strait (Kyle), great grandchildren Findlay Smith and Quentin Fuller; and by her brother Melvin Herod, sister Norma Lackey, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald Herod, and by sisters Pauline McMahan, Winifred Copeland, and Carol Hawkins. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at The Mansions at Sandy Springs - Assisted Living and Memory Care who provided Marjorie with social activities, fellowship and care during the last months of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A graveside service at Crest Lawn Memorial Park is planned for a future date.

Oh, Jane, Steve and Liz, what a life! I absolutely love the video. The music and the nature photography of Margy's beautiful Georgia Mountains are stunning. I love the early pictures of Miss Sexy in her swim suit and pretty dress with gloves with that leg slightly turned or toe pointed. White gloves and hat as any respectable southern lady would wear! She was a real beauty and I so see her in you, Jane, and Taylor. One can tell she loved her family. She loved doing so many things with all of you, and you can see that love and pride as the holds the grands and especially Finlay. She is just beaming! I love the color pictures fading to b&w. What a classy video for a very classy, special, and dear woman. She lived a full life, and I am so happy to have known her. GrandMargy is looking down on each of you and thanking you for being a part of her wonderful life. I wish I could be there to hug each of you. Please know how much I care and am celebrating with you a life well lived. Much love, Linn
