Karine Pied, age 50, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 22nd, 2018 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She was born July 28th, 1967, in Niort, France to Anne-Marie and Bernard Pied. At 12 years old her and her family moved to Tingwick, Canada where she later graduated high school. She then moved to Montreal, Canada to study and pursue her nursing career. She married her husband Amir Navabi on March 24th, 1990. From there they took on many projects & challenges together including starting a family, moving to the United States, several career changes, and many more. Karine truly found pleasure in the simplest things in life; spending time with her family, sipping on a glass of white wine, and taking care of her plants & flowers. Karine could always do anything she set her mind to. In addition to being an extremely hard worker, she also had a wide range of talents and interests including opera singing, piano and guitar playing, sewing, upholstery, home renovations, painting, Reiki, and homeopathy. Karine had a wonderful and uncanny ability to reach people and make them laugh. Her quirky sense of humor followed her everywhere she went, up until her last hours. She lived a life of meaning by bringing laughter and joy to everyone around her. She is survived by her husband Amir, her sister Aggie Cook, her brother Sebastien Pied, her eldest daughter Noushine Navabi, her son Yazdan Navabi, and her youngest daughter Afssaneh Navabi.

Toujours t’as tenté d’essayer de me convincre que t’as raison.

My dearest Karine I remember your smile and laughter that was so contagious. The get togethers we had with all our friends where you and I were the only ones who did not speak or understand Persian. How determined you were to learn the language. And you certainly did. I always admired you for your zest for life and always going after what you wanted. Most all I remember your devotion to your beautiful children and the love of your life, Amir. I’m happy we had a chance to speak one more time and I got to see your beautiful smile. May you Rest In Peace my friend. 💜🌸😢😘
