    OBITUARY:
    Donald Ray “Donnie” Hunt, Jr., 49, of Taylorsville, Georgia passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 722 Conley Road, Forest Park GA 30297. There will be no public visitation. Born March 8, 1968 in Atlanta, Donnie was the son of the late Donald Ray Hunt, Sr. and Patricia G. (White) Sellers, who survives. He grew up in Jonesboro, and currently lived in Bartow County. He worked for 20 years in law enforcement, first with the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Department, and later with the Fairburn Police Department. Most recently he worked for Notts Logistics in Cartersville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Donnie is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia G. and Bill Sellers of Augusta; 4 brothers, Reid Hunt of Lovejoy, Jason Norris (Martha) of Woodbury, Lloyd Hunt (Kathy) of Jackson, and Mark Hunt of Yatesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Chadwick Michael Norris; two sisters, Alicia Gail Norris and Jennifer Shey Norris; his maternal grandparents, J.P. and Ella Maude Cooley; maternal great grandparents, Rev. W. J. and Louvine Garner; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Meriam Hunt. Funeral services have been entrusted to Fischer Funeral Care and Cremation Services.
