1999. I became fond of David for his good humor and his geniuine concern for the less fortunate in the world.
I also learned that he loved his children and grand-children very much.

Jean & Gray | | | Mary Lynn Kelly | Feb 19 2010 09:01 am | | I know it is a difficult thing to adjust to - all that is left are memories. So it gives me joy to think of the first and only time I met your Father when he visited Ginger and her gang in Arizona recently. I am sorry I won't get to know him better because it was touching to see father and daughter together. Ginger wanted his visit to be special over and above his time with adorable grandsons. She planned activities and tours for his interest which lead to a private, behind the scenes tour of Challenger Space Center where I work. She and Nicky joined him as we shared the morning. He appeared to truly enjoy learning the story of the building and history of the space program through his energy and questions. His enthusiasm was contagious and the tour spilled into lunch where I smile remembering all coordination of lunch and Nicky’s huge grin of being the center of attention of 3 very adoring adults! I’m happy to have shared that moment and intensely grateful that you and your family have such recent memories to fill your hearts. Ginger, call me for a cup of coffee and a date at some park the boys will love when you get home.
With love, Mary Lynn Kelly | |
