    OBITUARY:
Stephen M. Gaudio, 54 of Decatur, lost his courageous battle with brain cancer on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He is survived by his wife Maura, daughter Catey, brothers in law Gerry (Cathy), Mike, Frank (Candy), Pat, Brian (Sara), John (Nancy) and Joe (Cydney) Hogan, sisters in law Joan (Steve) Eddy and Maggie (Jason) Yowell, as well as brother Vincent and sister Patricia Goodison. Mr. Gaudio was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on August 7,1957 to the late Vincent and Catherine Ryan Gaudio. Mr. Gaudio’s love for adventure led him to numerous experiences and accomplishments that extended far beyond his shortened life. His determination attributed the success of his residential remodeling company, New Look Builders. Though Mr. Gaudio possessed a keen eye for detail and talent for his craft, it was his passion for bringing his clients happiness that kept him in business for twenty-five years. His honest opinion and genuine nature turned nearly all of his clients into friends. Mr. Gaudio loved relaxing at his home on Lake Hartwell, boating and fishing with his family and beloved beagles. His optimism and sunny outlook on life never wavered in the face of a terminal diagnosis. His ability to always look for the good in life is an inspiration to all who knew him and will surely keep his memory alive. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Dr., Atlanta, GA 30319 or HYPERLINK http://www.vnhs.org Please sign online guestbook at www.fischerfuneralcare.com

Don't cry for me now I have died, for I'm still here I'm by your side, My body's gone but my soul's is here, please don't shed another tear, I am still here I'm all around, only my body lies in the ground. I am the snowflake that kises your nose, I am the frost, that nips your toes. I am the sun, bringing you light, I am the star, shining so bright. I am the rain, refreshing the earth, I am laughter, I am mirth. I am the bird, up in the sky, I am the cloud, that's drifting by. I am the thoughts, inside your head, While I'm still there, I can't be dead.

Here's a great picture of Steve taken in 1980 when we were hiking and camping in the Tetons and Yellowstone... Lots of mosquito bites were had and cheap red wine consumed . This is the trip we reminisced about this past year when we spoke... fun times , fondly remembered. Todd
